What Happened in May? Rethinking Materials & Blue Food

Two Rethink Events summits, Rethinking Materials Innovation Summit and the Blue Food Innovation Summit, took place in May and were a great success, showing year-on-year growth and welcoming over 300 delegates respectively.

Rethinking Materials took place on May 16-17 at the Hilton London Bankside, and welcomed 330 global brands, manufacturers, converters, regulators, investors and innovators across multiple industries. Creating a unique forum for materials pioneers to form partnerships, collaborate and share ideas on circularity, waste valorisation, scalability, and agile innovations. The 90+ speaker line-up included names such as Wrap, A Plastic Planet, ABinBev, Beiersdorf, Biffa, Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, and Citi Bank, to name a few. The Blue Food Innovation Summit took place a week after, on May 23-24, at the Hilton London Tower Bridge. 341 industry leaders from global seafood brands and retailers, producers, feed providers, investors and innovators met under one roof to discuss the latest innovations in digitalisation, regeneration, sustainability and ocean welfare. Blue Food will return to London on May 21-22.
